Tova Thomas/ Los Angeles/ 31 Model/Mama Insta: @tova_good What is your definition of a crushable girl? A woman who is unapologetically herself, with a gracefulness, strength and softness that warms the hearts of those she encounters. A woman who cant be defined easily and who has found a sense of wholeness on her own. She is on her path, creating, laughing and giving back in her own unique way. What is your hearts path? My hearts path is Love. In the most trying moments of my life, when it's all crashing down, love is the tool I call on. It has never failed me. Love allows the unnecessary to fall away, and what you are left with is the truth, your truth. I believe in love. What are you working on right now? I am always working on myself. Working on loving myself, so that all areas of my life can grow and become all the more beautiful and rich. Daily rituals to support your health and happiness? I meditate for 15 minutes each day. We go on family walks with the dogs, family dinners, WATER, lots of cuddles, kisses and hugs, laughter and play, making art, a cup or two of coffee, a nice hot shower. Veggies. Fresh air and sunshine. And story time, in my daughters bed every night. What makes you glow? My family and friends, laughter, sunshine and love. What is your secret to a successful relationship? More compassion, more communication, and more laughter. Who are you listening to right now? my daughter playing in her room. How do you nourish your inner goddess? My inner Goddess is nourished when I honor my passions. When Im creating - painting, sketching, collaging, making/playing with jewelry. Also visualizing, and manifesting a future, getting clear and excited about what life gets to look like. And by spending time with my tribe. The older i get the more i value my relationships, and look to them for guidance and support. I speak with my mother almost daily, her wisdom is invaluable. And although i don't have any siblings i have chosen many sisters along the way, that i can say without a doubt have inspired me and made me such a better woman. Something you currently cannot go without? My engagement ring, i feel naked without it. 4 best beauty secrets * Drink a big glass of water right when you get up before eating or drinking anything. Game changer. * Pop zits with a bent Q-tip, using the ends to squeeze. This keeps the germs at bay, as well as not damage the skin. * Less is more! * Be kind to yourself. Any and all negative self talk will appear either on the body or in the psyche. What accomplishments are you most proud of? My greatest accomplishment is my family. Together we have created a life that i am so excited to be living. What is your unique gift? I see beauty everywhere. Maybe to some this perspective is silly, but i feel so fortunate to experience life like this. I see the world through my heart. What are 3 ways of being that have contributed to your success? Always doing my best. Easy going. Kind. What is your favorite scent? Christmas trees, camp fires, and lilies. What taste on your lips can you not get enough of? The new Dandelion & Wattleseed purification chocolate that I collaborated with Orchard Street on is quite delicious. What are you letting go of? Anything and everything that isn't serving my highest good for the benefit of all. What are you calling in? I am staying open to everything, I have always been so clear on what I want to call in. Right now I just want to let go of trying to control what I am calling in and just let what ever is meant for me to come my way. What inspiring words of wisdom would you give your 10 year old self? My 10 year old self was actually more fearless and fierce than my 32 year old self. I was doing martial arts 6 nights a week and excelling academically. Also didn't even have any understanding of comparison or my appearance. Though my 23 year old self could do with a massive talking to, firstly I would say, "the world doesn't revolve around you." "No one cares if you have a pimple, no one really cares what you do so you might as well make yourself happy." I find a lot of young women are so caught up in superficial pursuits, also not really listening to their inner voices, just the blaring noise of social media and celebrity culture. It is so important to see the bigger picture, your actions contribute to the collective no matter what they are. So please don't wake up one day and realize you spent 10 years perfecting your fingernails and abs, as this wont give you much satisfaction as it would to really work on something worth while. Good things take patience and persistence, if you know what you want do not ever give up. What do you LOVE about your yourself?
I love that I have created something from nothing and my hard work and occasional tears are paying off. When I say paying off I mean, in a sense of gratitude to be able have some sort say in what I do with my time. My time is the most precious thing to me, also to be working on something that has the potential to grow into something more. I am a person that can not put energy into things that have no real potential. I love my resilience, to keep on keeping on, even when I don't want to. I guess I am grateful to have good skin, thank you mum. Also to be naturally slender, I hated it so much as a child, and my parents and their friends would always tell me you will be so happy about your fast metabolism when you are older; that day has come. I love being a woman in a so called mans world. Do you have a girl crush? Let us know about her!!!!
