There are a lot of ways that humans have learned how to connect with spirit. For example: Prayer, meditation, holding space with sacred community in ceremony.
When we do this, we are taking ourselves out of the 3D matrix, and into higher dimensional spaces. Some of these dimensional spaces are bringing us back into a state of pure and unconditional Love, and this is sometimes hard to come down from.
Whether it be in the form of spiritual ceremonies, group practices or personal daily meditation, these can take us into the ether and spirit realms and away from the pain of the planet and our everyday lives. Sometimes it is hard to come back from that place, especially when you're in a group of tribesmen holding communion together, as I was this past weekend at Star Knowledge/Earth Shift Conference in the California desert. This point about the ceremonial comedown was mentioned by the Chiefs over an early morning drum circle. It really resonated with me, and I wanted to bring this teaching back to you..
We experience such a high when we are fully embodied in in our communities and feeling the spirit of communal joy and connectedness to Universal Love. However, the backlash can be that after the ceremony and gathering is over, we feel empty, sad, hollow, homesick or like normal life is just not tolerable. However, the greatest thing that we can do is to take the amazing information and love energy that we received from the "ceremony", and bring it back to our everyday world; to bring these blessings back to the normal world, and spread it around into our normal lives. Sharing it with others allows us to complete the hero's journey and generally become a lighthouse.
Have YOU experienced this feeling of "ceremonial comedown"? How have you dealt with it? Let us know in the comments section.
